Teachers College现已把原Communication and Education、Instructional Technology and Media以及Design and Development of Digital Games三个硕士项目整合为Technology, Media and Learning MA。本记录对应Media, Culture & Society方向，即原Communication and Education项目的当前承接方向。项目以媒体、文化、教育和技术之间的关系为核心，适合关注传播制度、数字文化、平台、学习与社会影响的申请人。
该方向并非单纯的传媒实务项目，而是把communication、media studies、education与technology置于社会文化语境中研究。学生需要理解媒体历史、制度与受众，并能用研究方法分析技术如何改变知识生产、身份、社群和学习。全项目同时要求学生接触learning、design和computing等TML共同领域，保持跨学科视角。
学位共32学分。所有学生修MSTU 4000核心课、跨项目领域的9学分foundational study、TML以外6学分及最终学期的MSTU 4900 Integrative Project。Media, Culture & Society方向要求MSTU 4016 History of Communication，并完成13个额外MSTU学分。官网强烈建议通过internship或fieldwork把研究和职业场景连接起来。
须具备学士学位或同等学历，官网未限定本科专业、最低GPA或必修先修课。申请材料包括statement of purpose、resume、两封推荐信、成绩材料及适用的英语成绩；所有非英语母语申请人还需完成video essay。海外学历必须提交WES、ECE或TEC出具的course-by-course evaluation，否则申请不完整。
适用申请人的英语标准为旧制TOEFL 100或2026年启用的新制5.0、IELTS 7.0或Duolingo 130，TOEFL代码2905，MyBest可接受。符合英语为唯一官方授课语言的学士或研究生学位条件者可申请豁免。当前MA不要求GRE；海外学历第三方course-by-course认证为Required。
Fall 2027的priority与final deadline均为2027-01-15，官网没有列extended deadline，也未开放春季入学。项目为campus based，可全日制或非全日制完成，共32学分。2026/27学费为每学分$2,216，32学分基础学费约$70,912，另有每学期$538 college fee及其他费用；未推算2027/28价格。
该方向可支持media/communication research、教育媒体、policy、platform research、public-interest technology、非营利组织、文化机构、audience/UX research及继续攻读传播、媒体或教育相关博士。官网没有公布该方向可直接核验的统一就业率或薪资，因此不生成数字。
申请材料要承认项目已经完成整合，并明确选择Media, Culture & Society，而不是继续把Communication and Education当作独立现行学位。statement应提出具体的媒体、文化与学习问题，说明已有理论或研究准备，并解释希望如何利用Teachers College的跨学科课程、fieldwork与Integrative Project形成可验证成果。
先修课程
A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. The current programme does not publish a required undergraduate major or prerequisite course. Applicants should demonstrate fit with technology, media, learning and the selected Media, Culture & Society concentration through their statement and experience.
TOEFL
最低要求：Min 100 官网原文：Applicants subject to the English-proficiency requirement must submit TOEFL iBT. Teachers College lists 100 on the pre-January 2026 scale or 5.0 on the scale introduced in January 2026; MyBest scores are accepted.
IELTS
最低要求：Waived 官网原文：IELTS Academic 7.0 minimum. Duolingo English Test 130 is also accepted. A waiver may apply when the applicant has completed a qualifying bachelor's or graduate degree where English was the sole official language of instruction, subject to Teachers College confirmation.
GRE / GMAT

GRE Subject
Not required: no GRE Subject Test is required for the current MA.
成绩认证
Required: applicants with degrees completed outside the United States must submit an official course-by-course evaluation from WES, ECE or TEC; Teachers College states that the application remains incomplete without the required evaluation.
Writing Sample
Required application materials include a statement of purpose, resume, two letters of recommendation and transcripts/evaluations. All non-native English speakers also complete a video essay. The current MA page does not list a separate academic writing sample.
项目时长
32 credits. The programme is campus based, admits for fall, and may be completed full time or part time. All students complete common TML foundations and an Integrative Project in the final semester.

Fall 2027: January 15, 2027. The current programme page labels this as both the priority and final deadline and lists no extended deadline.
春季截止日期
